NO MORE LOUVRE FASHION...

I have been quite shocked that "the era" of Louvre is finishing, got used to it by many years while I was attending the fashion shows, here is for you guys the copy of the article from WWD.COM:

AU REVOIR, CARROUSEL: Fashion is bidding au revoir to the Carrousel du Louvre. Didier Grumbach, president of the Chambre Syndicale, confirmed via text message to WWD on Monday that, after 16 years, the governing body of French fashion will not continue its contract with the venue. The underground network of catwalks was conceived and constructed specifically as a communal venue for the presentation of fashion shows. It opened for the spring 1994 couture season, with Karl Lagerfeld’s Chanel haute couture the first collection shown. The Carrousel was intended as an indoor improvement to the tents that for years had been installed seasonally in the grounds surrounding the Louvre. Though a major hit in the early days, the past decade has seen a flight of fashion majors from the venue. The Chambre Syndicale is said to be looking at other venue possibilities in the center of Paris.

The end of an era.. Let's wait and see what the future will bring! ;)

IN LOVE WITH SIENNA- twenty8twelve

I have been always very against "stars doing fashion", why you want to do fashion? be a star, leave fashion alone, just because you are famous doesn't mean you can design but hey, i love, yes! I repeat I LOVE twenty8twelve clothes. This second collection of that mark was presented during Fashion Week, its a label created by Sienna Miller and her sister Savannah and the clothes are FAB!!!!! Thank you girls for this one!

ATELIER SWAROVSKI

Mathiew Williamson

Nicholas Kirkwood

Zaha Hadid

Mathiew Williamson, Zaha Hadid, Jason Wu

As it is very much "a la mode", last few years for big "street marks" to work with great designers as for example H&M, Mango, Adidas, Puma and also Swarovski.
Here are some really good news, this season spring-summer 2010 Swarovski launches its collection in collaboration with my big love: Matthew Williamson but also Zaha Hadid, Jason Wu and one and only great Nicholas Kirkwood. I completly adore the choice of the designers, as I am a big fan of Williamson and Kirkwood, but also the idea of Hadid who is a famous architect and not a fashion designer on regular bases and very talented Jason Wu. Here are some photos for you guys to check it out.
