THANK YOU DRIES

I am not sure have I mentioned it yet but I am completely in love with all the collections of Dries van Noten but THIS ONE, this one is a knock out! It is so beautiful that all I can say is I AM CRAZY ABOUT IT! I love all the pieces, I wish to have them all, to wear them everyday.. And once again thanks to Dries I can repeat the style: "ladylike, vintage, quirky girl" is hot this coming winter 2009/2010! I love the mix of menswear tailoring with military style and sweatshirts straight from Flash Dance and vintage dresses from 60s. Its gorgeous, it is so easy to love! This fashion is so easy, relax, it gives us pleasure to be fashionable! Thank you Dries for making fashion so fun!

TRENDSETTERS STRAIGHT FROM RUSSIA

Here are 2 girls: Vika Gazinskaya and Miroslawa Duma, I have been watching for past few seasons during fashion weeks in Paris and New York, both are Russian, both are dressed so perfect that it is almost annoying.
Yes, they do have amazing collection of Hermes bags and Roger Vivier shoes, that most of us could only dream about, but most of all they have a perfect, sophisticated taste! Two thumbs up for both of them!
Those girls are real, true trendsetters.

Worth mentioning that Vika Gazinskaya is a fashion designer and have been making very interesting collections, whenever you have time, here is her web page:

Above I am puting some photos that are runing around on internet with those girls.

REMEMBERING ALEXANDER...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hu3scGLyHU8

It's gonna be hard for me to write anything about it, it seems that anything I try to write sounds wrong, stupid not the way I want it. Its been few hours I am trying to pull something together but it is damn hard.
We haven't see this one coming.. And in my head all the time one question: why?
Talent like Alexander McQueen doesn't happened often, it is more then rare. He was a symbol of our era's fashion, he achived to mix fashion with art.

Here is part of his interview that was published Interview Magazine:

"MCQUEEN: Well, I think sometimes I might scare the editors, because they might feel they're getting old and they're not understanding it. The problem lies on their side of the fence, not mine. I come from a different era and I design clothes for our era. I think of people I want to dress when I design. Of course I make mistakes. I'm human. If I didn't make mistakes, I'd never learn. You can only go forward by making mistakes. I'm twenty-seven, not fifty-seven. I'm not Givenchy, I'm Alexander McQueen."

Hell yes you were Alexander! You were the designer of our era! And you were one and only ALEXANDER MCQUEEN.

I have been on style.com watching all his collections, on youtube watching the shows.

I know it won't be the same any other fashion week without the Alexander McQueen show made by himself.

Rest in peace Alexander, we will miss you..
